Welcome to Carolines Dog Rescue, where every wagging tail tells a story of hope and love. For 14 years, we've been dedicated to rescuing dogs from Romania and finding them loving homes across the UK. Explore our wonderful dogs, each dreaming of a family to call their own. Please note - the website cannot always be updated frequently so some of the dogs below may have already found their forever home. Maisie

3 YEARS

We don’t think he would have lasted much longer in the public shelter, starved, skeleton-thin, with ribs showing. He’s safe with us now, and eventually a forever home once he’s fitter and gained some weight. He’s the sweetest little lad, fantastic with people, super friendly with other dogs, and small in size, ready to steal your heart.

Maisie is a beautiful girl of around 3 years old who was one of six dogs we rescued from a public shelter a few months ago.

She has a fabulous temperament and is friendly with both people and other dogs. We have personally met Maisie while visiting the shelter and were able to see what a lovely girl she is. Maisie is now looking for her forever home and would love the chance to become part of a loving family. She can also be cat tested on request for anyone with cats at home. Indie

5/6 YEARS

Indie estimated to be around 5-6 years old, who is now in foster care in Wiltshire and searching for her forever home. Before arriving at the shelter in Romania, Indie was found living chained up, but thankfully a kind person stepped in, rescued her, and brought her to safety. Despite her difficult past, she has never lost her love for life. Now settled in the UK, Indie has shown what a wonderful companion she is. She is friendly, affectionate, and loves being around people, including children. She enjoys attention and is always happy to be part of family life. Indie is ready to enjoy all the adventures that come with having a home of her own. Indie would ideally like to be the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. With her stunning scruffy coat, bright eyes, and joyful personality, she is a truly special girl who has so much love to give. Lily

2 YEARS

Lily is a lovely girl of around 2 years old who was rescued from a public shelter and is now safe in our care. She is still waiting for someone special to give her the chance of a happy new life. Lily is gentle and sweet-natured, with such a kind and beautiful face. She deserves the very best care, plenty of love and a safe place to call home while she waits for her forever family. 4 YEARS | MEDIUM

Pablo was rescued from the streets around 3 years ago and is still patiently waiting for a forever home to finally call his own. This handsome medium-sized boy can be a little nervous around new people at first, but he has a gentle nature and is never aggressive. With patience, understanding, and love, Pablo will grow in confidence and become a truly loyal companion. He is wonderful with the other dogs in his pen and would thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe and secure. After waiting so long, Pablo deserves the chance to experience what it truly means to be loved.

Joel

5 YEARS | LARGE

Joel is a stunning, big-hearted boy, estimated to be around 5 years old. He was found wandering the streets of Romania a year ago and is now living safely in a wonderful private foster home while he waits for his forever family. Joel is a gentle, affectionate soul who absolutely adores people. Despite only having three legs, it never slows him down - he runs, plays, and enjoys life just like any other dog. He is in great health, with recent blood tests confirming he is fit and well. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and could happily live with a small number of canine companions, although he would much rather be the centre of his humans' world. He can occasionally be a little bossy and appreciates having his own space, so he would suit a home that understands and respects his gentle boundaries. Joel also travels beautifully in the car and is a wonderful companion to have by your side. He is ready to travel to the UK for the right home and is simply waiting for someone to give him the love and security he deserves.

Luki

7 MONTHS

This beautiful girl is Luki. At just around 7 months old, Luki was found all alone at a gas station, scared, vulnerable and with nowhere to go. Thankfully, she is now safe and being cared for, and she is blossoming into the most wonderful young pup. Luki is smart, eager to learn and has the sweetest nature. She has already come such a long way, and it’s incredible to see her discovering the world and growing in confidence. This beautiful girl is Beth. Beth was sadly abandoned on the streets with her two puppies. Despite everything she had been through, she was an incredible mother, caring for and protecting her babies until they were old enough to be weaned. Now her puppies are ready to begin their own journeys, and it’s finally Beth’s turn to find the loving home she so deserves. Beth is estimated to be around 2–3 years old and is a lovely small-to-medium-sized girl. She is extremely friendly with people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She has also been cat tested and was super with them, making her an even more wonderful prospect for a loving family. Milly was found on the streets desperately trying to keep her puppy safe until Elena rescued them both and brought them to safety. Darla is an adorable girl estimated to be around 3 years old, who was rescued from a public shelter. We’ve personally met Darla at the shelter, and she is an absolute joy to be around. She’s a very placid, gentle and loving girl who would make a wonderful companion. Darla is also super with the other dogs she shares her enclosure with and seems very comfortable in their company. Flora

6/7 YEARS

This beautiful girl is Flora. Flora’s story is a heartbreaking one. Her elderly owners sadly passed away, and, with no other option, their family had to bring her to the shelter. Flora had always been free to roam happily in her own garden, so suddenly finding herself at the shelter, tied up and surrounded by unfamiliar sights and sounds, was an enormous shock. She was confused, frightened and desperately sad. Flora has now been at the shelter for around a month, and despite losing the home and family she knew, she remains the gentlest, sweetest soul. She is loving, well-behaved and simply longs to feel part of a family again. She has so much love left to give, she just needs someone to choose her. Toby
